Born and raised between the bay of Massachusetts and the Adirondack mountains, I’m inspired by an effort to waste nothing, feel color, and appreciate materials completely. I work in fiber, fashion, ceramics, watercolor painting, and multimedia collage. I am also an avid amateur forager, and expert on sustainable food (Previously GM of Community Grains in Oakland, CA). I’m fascinated by foreign languages, and speak French and Spanish fluently as well as basic German and Portuguese. My background is in languages and economics (BA from Middlebury College in VT) with years working in marketing, executive search, baking, and sustainable food systems. In 2020 I decided to focus on a childhood passion for textiles centered on sustainability. During a couple month stay in Brazil I was highly inspired by craft and recycling-based ventures, and subsequently took a few design and construction classes at Parsons in New York, as well as at RISD in Providence, RI. I began up-cycling and tailoring clothes out of my home in Boston, but desired more structure to build a rigorous studio art practice and gain knowledge in textiles. In 2022 I moved to Savannah, GA to pursue an MFA in Fiber Art at SCAD.
